Happy fishing days start with a good launching…
Help others by preparing your boat before you join the queue on busy days or as you progress towards the ramp, remember to keep your place by moving forward so others have plenty of room to join the queue and avoid congestion around the entrance to the reserve.
Check your bungs!
Once launched quickly move your boat away from the bottom of the ramp to allow others access.
Remember the 5 knot rule – You must not exceed 5 knots within the channel or within 200 metres of the shore.
After your day’s fishing you may experience delays due to the number of boats returning at the same time, it’s important to allow others who arrive before you to take their turn first.
Be patient, be polite
If you are launching when lots of other boats are coming home use the up-stream (bridge side) lane of the ramp.
NO POWERING ON OR OFF TRAILERS
- It is against Harbour rules to power on and off trailers.
- Powering on and off also scours out the bottom of the ramp which creates holes which are dangerous to other users.
Once your boat is retrieved clear the area at the top of the ramp as quickly as possible to allow access to others.
